  1. This passage describes how some of Jesus' disciples first met Jesus. How many disciples do you count in this passage?

  2. What led the two disciples of John the Baptist to take the first step in following Jesus?

  3. When they asked Jesus where he was staying do you think they were just curious, or did they want something?

  4. Do you think these men's initial reason for going with Jesus was sufficient to make them committed disciples? If not, what do you think led them to deeper commitment?

  5. Why did Simon go to see Jesus?

  6. ‘Cephas' is an Aramaic word; ‘Peter’ is Greek. Both mean 'rock'.
