JESUS FEEDS THE CROWD - JOHN 6:1-15, 25-35, 48-51, 60-69

Who in your family gets most anxious when you entertain guests? What does he or she get anxious about?

 

Text Questions (first read the verses listed above and not everyone needs to answer):

  1. When Jesus went away to the far side of the Sea of Galilee, why did a large crowd follow him?

  2. Did Philip have confidence that Jesus and the disciples would be able to meet the physical needs of the crowd?

  3. How about Andrew? Did he think they had adequate resources to feed the crowd?

  4. Do you think Jesus was deliberately trying to teach Philip, Andrew and the other disciples a lesson? If so, what lesson?

  5. Which word best describes the meal Jesus provided: ‘partial’, ‘sufficient’, or ‘abundant’?

  6. What was the crowd’s reaction to the feeding miracle?
