Positions vacant in Bethesda Chapel - a brethren church

Immediate vacancies are available for the following positions:

1. Children's Ministry Coordinator/Children's Pastor

Requirements:

• Preferably with training in theology or social work
• At least 5 years experience with children's ministry
• Minimum diploma or A-levels qualifications or equivalent
• Heart for nurture of Christian values among young children (ages 4-12)
• Preferably bi-lingual in English and Mandarin

Scope:

• Oversee Children’s Ministry, including coordinate with Kindergarten Principal
• Assist the lay leaders in Children’s ministry in the ministry to: (a) Children in KSS, JSS, BCK; (b) Children’s parents, especially non-Christians
• Coordinate with Youth and Adults’ Ministries
• Provide pastoral care for adults and youths involved in Children’s ministry
  

Responsibilities:

• Lead evangelism among non-Christian parents of Sunday School children
• Build friendship contacts and reach out to parents of kindergarten
• Plan programmes for children
• Encourage Christian and non-Christian parents of children in Bethesda Chapel
• Supervise children’s ministry of Bethesda Chapel
• Provide training for parents with young children

2. Youth Pastors/Youth Workers - discipleship and evangelism

Requirements:

• Minimum diploma or A-level qualifications or equivalent
  
• Have a heart for discipleship work among young people

Responsibilities:

• Lead evangelism among teens and young people
  
• Plan programmes for youths and engage BC youths
• Teach Sunday School class
• Counsel youths in spiritual and other areas
